If wires and cables are not used properly, they will be prone to electric shock and fire. Therefore, in order to better use electricity, we share some precautions about wires and cables.

1. Wire surface marking
According to the national standards, the wire surface shall have continuous marks of the manufacturer's name, product model and rated voltage. This is conducive to finding the manufacturer in time in case of problems in the use of wires. Consumers must pay attention to this point when purchasing wires. At the same time, consumers should pay attention to whether the manufacturer's name, product model, rated voltage indicated on the certificate of conformity are consistent with the printed mark on the wire surface when purchasing wires to prevent counterfeit products.

2. Wire appearance
When selecting and purchasing wires, consumers should pay attention to the appearance of the wires should be smooth and flat, the insulation and sheath layers should not be damaged, the signs should be clearly printed, and the hand-molded wires should not be greasy. From the cross section of the wire, the thickness of the insulation or sheath on the whole circumference of the wire should be uniform, and the core should not be deviated. The insulation or sheath should have a certain thickness.

3. Conductor diameter
When purchasing wires, consumers should pay attention to whether the conductor diameter is consistent with the cross section indicated on the certificate of conformity. If the conductor cross section is too small, it is easy to make the wire heat and cause short circuit. It is recommended that wires for household lighting lines should be 1.5 mm2 and above; Household appliances with large power such as air conditioners and microwave ovens should use wires of 2.5 mm2 and above.

4. Standardized use
The wiring should be standardized. It is better to use single-core wire to run through the pipe for fixed wiring. Pay attention not to damage the wire when wiring, and do not damage the wire when decorating the room; Do not connect in the middle of a route; Do not touch the wire when the wire is connected to the electrical box (box); In addition, household appliances with large power consumption, such as air conditioners, should be powered by a separate line; It is better to keep a certain distance between wires for weak and strong current.

Common faults of cable lines include mechanical damage, insulation damage, insulation damp, aging and deterioration of insulation, overvoltage, cable overheating, etc. Finally, Huaqiang Cable reminds everyone that when the above fault occurs in the line, the power supply of the fault cable should be cut off, the fault point should be found, the fault should be checked and analyzed, and then the repair and test should be carried out. The power supply can be restored only after the fault is removed.
