What are VE tube terminals?

Introducing the core functions, technical advantages, crimping standards and applications of VE tube terminals
May 27th,2025 583 Views
VE tube-type terminal block is an electronic connection device, the main function of which is to provide electrical connection and wire fixing function. It can reliably connect the wires on the circuit board with other electronic components, and can also fix the wires on the circuit board to maintain the stability and reliability of the connection. VE tube-type terminal blocks are often used in conjunction with tools such as crimping pliers and storage boxes to facilitate on-site operation and management and improve work efficiency.

Core Functions
1) Electrical Connection
As a type of cold-pressed crimping terminal, it is mainly used to achieve electrical connection between the wire and the terminal to ensure the stability and safety of signal transmission.
2) Insulation Protection
The wire is wrapped with pre-insulating materials (such as PVC) to prevent the wire from bifurcation, improve insulation safety, and avoid short-circuit risks.
3) Anti-loosening Design
Combined with copper nose and crimping process, it ensures a firm connection and reduces loosening or heating problems caused by vibration.

Technical Advantages
1) Pre-insulation Design
PVC pre-insulating material is used inside the terminal to effectively isolate the wire from the external environment, improve safety, and meet the short-term high temperature resistance requirements of 105℃.
2) Copper Tin-plated Surface Treatment
Using red copper material and tin-plated, it has excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance and extended service life.
3) Stable and Reliable
The cold pressing process ensures tight connection, reduces contact resistance, reduces the risk of loosening, and is suitable for scenes with high load or large vibration.

Wire Crimping Standard
1) Model Naming Rules
Starting with "VE", followed by two digits indicating the wire cross-section (such as 10 for 1 square millimeter), followed by two digits indicating the tube length (such as 08 for 8 mm).
2) Wire Matching Requirements
The specification that matches the wire diameter marked on the model must be selected to ensure tight contact and no damage after crimping.
3) Crimping Process Specifications
Using cold pressing technology, the top of the terminal is compressed and closed by a special tool, and the crimping depth must reach the standard size to ensure conductivity and mechanical strength.

Application
1) Industrial Equipment Connection
Applicable to scenes requiring high reliability such as chemical instruments and mechanical equipment, especially in dense wires or high temperature environments, it can improve insulation safety and prevent wire bifurcation.
2) Circuit Board and Wire Connection
It can be used to connect small wires and circuit board components, or crimp single/double-strand wires to ensure a firm connection and prevent them from falling off.
3) Cold-pressed Quick Wiring
Quick crimping is achieved through the cold-pressing process, which is suitable for temporary or frequent wiring needs, and has the characteristics of anti-vibration and no heat generation.
