One of the most important factors is the environmental design parameter, which mainly includes working temperature, humidity, air pressure, etc. Under different environmental and economic conditions, the use and management methods of aviation plugs are also different, and the use skills under the extreme development environment are as follows.
1. High temperature environment
The metal and insulating material of the aviation plug determines the working ambient temperature of the connector. In high temperature environment, the insulation material will be damaged, resulting in the reduction of insulation resistance and voltage resistance. For metals, high temperature will make the contact part lose elasticity, accelerate oxidation and coating degradation. The normal ambient temperature is - 40℃ to 80℃.
2. Humid environment
Relative humidity greater than 80% is the main reason for electric breakdown. If it is used in a humid environment, it will cause the absorption and diffusion of water vapor on the insulator surface, which is easy to reduce the insulation resistance to M ω Below. If used in high humidity environment for a long time, it is easy to cause physical deformation, decomposition, product escape, respiratory effect, electrolysis, corrosion and crack. Especially for the aviation plug outside the equipment, environmental conditions such as humidity, water seepage and pollution should be considered at all times. In this case, sealed connectors should be used.
3. Temperature change environment
The humidity fluctuation test simulates the actual use of the aviation plug in the cold environment to the warm environment, or the rapid change of the ambient temperature of the spacecraft or detector. Sudden changes in temperature may cause cracks or delamination of insulating materials.
4. Thin air environment
At the height of thin air, plastic releases gas to pollute the contact pair, which increases the tendency to produce corona, reduces the withstand voltage performance and causes short circuit fault. When the altitude reaches a certain value, the performance of plastics becomes worse. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the use of unsealed connectors at high altitude.
5. Corrosive environment
According to the different enterprises in which China's aviation plugs are used, they can be used in corrosive social environments. Select the connectors with corresponding metal, plastic, and coating organizational structures, such as those used in salt fog environment. If we do not have anti-corrosion metal material surfaces, the system performance will deteriorate rapidly. In the environment containing a considerable concentration of SO2, it is not suitable to use connectors with silver-plated contact pairs. In hot and humid areas, mold is also a very important research issue.
