Design description
Glass sealing technology can be subdivided into two categories: matched seals and mismatched seals (also known as compression seals). In matched sealing, the thermal expansion and contraction coefficients of glass and metal materials are relatively close, usually controlled within 10%, which greatly limits the force endured by the glass components, thereby ensuring the long-term stability of the seal. In contrast, mismatched sealing involves significant differences in thermal expansion coefficients between metal and glass. During the connector manufacturing process, the metal expands when heated and then adheres closely to the more stable glass during the cooling process, thus forming an extremely tight seal. This unique sealing mechanism provides the connector with excellent resistance to moisture, moisture, and mechanical impact, allowing it to exhibit excellent performance in harsh working environments.
Types
Sealed connector:
Used to transmit electrical signals, power or fluids through sealed barriers such as vacuum chambers or pressure vessels.
Boyao sealed connector:
For use in high-reliability applications that require electrical connections in challenging environments, such as military electronics or downhole drilling equipment.
Sensor glass metal seal:
Used in sensor assemblies where electrical connections must be made while maintaining a seal to protect sensitive components from environmental damage.
