The mandrel can define the inner diameter of the pipe fitting after forming, and the mold structure is complex. It is mainly used for the workpiece that requires the wall thickness of the pipe fitting to be unchanged or thinned. In the process of mandrel rod forming, not only axial elongation, but also wall thickness will be thickened, which is suitable for pipe fitting production without strict requirements of inner diameter and wall thickness size. Coreless cold extrusion die has no mandrel, simple structure, easy production, easy operation, high production efficiency, one extrusion can get a larger section reduction rate, and the number of deformation to the least. Because there is no strict requirement on the inner diameter and wall thickness of this part, the project finally chooses the cold extrusion process without mandrel.
